A full week of rally

We’re winding up our seventh day of Alcan fun here in Whitehorse, on the southward leg of the event. Dan Comden and Hans Adomeit of TeamD have 52 points.
Scores are also affected by slalom times, where cars are competing in both studded and unstudded tire classes. A few days ago Gordon Ryall posted the hottest lap overall in the studded category and I can’t yet tell if it was Jim Elder or Ohio Knox who posted the quickest unstudded lap.
It’s late, so any scoring errors are probably my typos or inability to properly read the score sheet handed out tonight. Tomorrow has us running an early morning TSD (scored) section before heading out to the lake for another ice slalom. After that fun we’ll be heading down the Alaska highway where we’ll overnight at Liard River.

Charlie, you could get all the way to Inuvik by car. Getting to Tuk would require a boat or something seriously amphibious.
On the Dempster in the winter, you can see the 3-4 small ferries hauled out up on the river banks — the ferries that you’d use to cross the river in summer.
