Day 2 is done done done! You’re all sad because you didn’t get to drive the Blackwater road. It is the best and funnest way to get from Quesnel to Vanderhoof and that includes winged vehicles. one way or another.
Today was the driver meeting and tech inspection. In some ways the non-local entrants have an easier time this evening than us because all their packing and preparation needed to be complete before arriving in Kirkland.
From the village of Tuktoyaktuk back down the ice road to Inuvik and then to Eagle Plains. A stop along the way for some donuts and a snowbank encounter (doh!).
Busy weekend at the TeamD garage. We still have a bit of work to get the Saab on the road. Center console and related accessory wiring, connect the shifter to the transmission, install that not-broken shock, and then it’s time to get the car smogged and registered.
We tried to get of photo or video of the GPS showing our location on the Arctic ocean but had no luck. who brought the big Chevy pickup.
